It should not be used in any way as a form of evidence of legal compliance or non-compliance. Where the tool identifies particular shortcomings in your organisation’s approach, it will point you to additional tools and guidance to help you improve.
There are 16 questions contained in 2 sections covering mandatory requirements and embedding equality and diversity. It should take about fifteen minutes to complete both sections. You will need to have with you the most recent national staff and patient survey results available for your trust.
